As a matter of course, it's always been understood that a departing incumbent had valid national security concerns in the classification of documents beyond their term in office. Thus, current incumbents have (to the best of my knowledge) never been asked to reaffirm or revoke assertions of executive privilege by former incumbents. Besides, what are they going to learn from these documents, that Donald J. Trump is a criminal? That's hardly a state secret.
