1. Taking money out of the public education system means we're abandoning it instead of fixing what's wrong with it. Giving money to Parochial schools means that we're using public money to fund religious indoctrination. We're funding schools that have no requirement to teach real science.
Charter schools have limited capacity. We're not increasing parental choice, we're diminishing it. If we gut the public education system, then the parent's choice is either a school that teaches a religion they may not agree with, or a charter school that has no room.
2. There is a final plan. Mitch laid it out. Gut Obamacare in January, and worry about the fallout later, whenever that may be, even if it's three years from now. But for now, just gut it.
3. I don't care what your personal skills or experiences are in relation to engineering or data analysis. Our scientific process is not based on what any one individual says. Every individual scientist, even the ones we most admire, can be and have been wrong. Einstein refuted QP, yet time after time, its principles have held up. Forgive me if I don't take the word of one individual over almost the entire scientific community. |
