| I love turkey and dressing |

I could eat it year round, if it were affordable. As is, we buy a few frozen turkeys around the holidays for as far under $0.75/lb as we can find them. Tomorrow is payday, so I'm probably going to buy another turkey or 2.
My wife's sausage stuffing dressing is fantastic. The secret is that she simmers the neck and giblets with herbs in a tea ball for like 7 hours to make turkey broth, and uses THAT in place of canned chicken broth or bullion when making the dressing.
Now, obviously, I'm a big fan of roasted poultry. Chicken is easily affordable year round. The only problem is that the whole fryer chickens we get at Sam's or Albertson's DON'T COME WITH GIBLETS OR NECKS! Which means that I can't have dressing with my bird. :(
What's my point? Oh yeah. My wife ate the last of the Thankstmas dressing the other night, and now I'm having withdrawls. |
