It just seems to creep up at work quite often, especially when they note that build things either because (a) the whatsit doesn't exist the way I want it, or (b) it does exist but is far too expensive, or (c) I needed the challenge and took it on as a learning experiment.
Apparently "normal" people don't do that. So I get 'invited' to 'play' at work (with a Propeller, this time) when it will resolve a situation. And this thermal data-logger will seriously resolve a lot of issues, so it's in my own best interests to build the thing. What I can do here in a couple of hours for $200 in parts will cost them $900+ to purchase from a vendor, "out there". |
