Surprised by the size of the room, Block takes another chance to look around the place. Are there any cars or trucks actually here, or is there just enough space for them?
On the team comms, he says, "Even though that spider's dead, but it still feels intelligent and malevolent. And it's a baby - so wherever it came from, there are probably more just like it." With that, he adjusts his earbud select sound filters to *not* filter out the sounds of insect life, but to instead enhance it.
Upon hearing the rhythmic thumping sound, he adds, "okay, we had a piano player earlier, and now a drummer. I know! We're facing an insect rock band!" When his attempt at humor falls flat, he shrugs and drops in as rear-guard, as instructed.
In order to do that, though, he has to keep switching back and forth to astral viewing, so he can keep tabs on where the vanguard is leading. That, in turn gives him an idea - and he switches briefly to thermal vision, so he can scan the room once more.

One final note: his Fichetti Security out, but pointed down/away from anyone until something starts shooting at us, or Mr. X starts shooting at something.
