| I thank the bartender. I return my gaze to the guys. "Alright you two want details? Thing is, you two are greenies, not normal faces around here, and got no street cred. Naturally the bartender isn't going to blab details to people who could be undercover plants. There's a ghoul hunt tonight. We wont be hunting ghouls, or maybe we will. There's a guy, they want to make sure he doesn't 'show' tonight. Means we have to stop him from bagging enough trophies. We can either pre-bag his trophies, and clean the area out before he gets there.... or we could waylay him, possibly kill him. Any number of things. Bottom line? We get paid if we stop him from making a goal. If we handle this with a light touch, make it look like he's just doing badly, we could be paid better. You game?" |
