New system is coming along haltingly.  Not sure how to progress - I originally wanted these things to be fully automated, only driving under the direct commands of the "mother brain", but the idea of using a game controller to run one (or more) of these things around the yard seems priceless.  I'm trying to set up the (on board) controller to "maintain directional stability"; very much like a fly-by-wire system, making it really simple for the controller to guide all of them through their paces with minimal RF chatter.  It would then make remotely-controlling them from a game controller as easy as sending the commands from the game controller to the "mother brain", to the mowBot in question.  This is what happens while I'm assembling new (and improved!) drivetrain systems.

BTW: simplifying the drive down to two active wheels has done a lot for reductions in power consumption - if I can manage to set up the critter to "auto-track" the most recent (move) command received, it will be possible for the "mother brain" to juggle an almost infinite number of these things.  Maybe.  That's the plan, anyway...
