But unfortunatly, I can think of a short, 4 letter word that seems decisively appropriate... The obfustated version of this word is: F4!!!
On the other hand, it really sounds like a 'management' decision.
But look on the bright side:
- You have a (quite spiffy) new shiney. :)
- The shiney communicaties with the PC:
- If drivers, libraries and howto's are openly available, you can blow management away with some cute 3D / openGL hollywood-like data logging monitors.
- If the connection is proprietary(sp?) you get to hack the protocol. And then do previous step. =)
And since you're going to continue the project in personal time, you can steal borrow ideas for the interface and functionality. |
