| Discovered there *might* degrees of Hell... |

Today I was "trapped" behind a truck containing an old person driving at 10-15 mph *BELOW the posted speed limit. I drive a 1993 Nissan 300ZX; I have the power and capacity to blow past him like a dream, but the opportunity never presented itself. (Believe it or else I actually *do* try to drive safely and courteously...) "Turbo Lover" (by Judas Priest) playing on the radio didn't help the situation at all...
...I described this bit of morning Hell during our morning huddle and one of my workmates (the other racer) grinned and capped it off: "What if you didn't *have* the power?" he asked. "You know," he continued, "...something happens, the slow vehicle turns off, you have the lane, but you don't have the power to *DO* anything with it..."
After a few milliseconds' thought I had to agree; being trapped behind the feller ahead of me driving slowly was bad enough, but eventually I managed to get around him. (Like a flash!) But *not* being able to get up and go, yah, that would be a fairly definitive description of an even worse Hell, I had to agree... |
