As suggested, Block sets up a communications link to Mr. X and Ace.
Despite an urge to wander upstairs to see what the magical side of the club looks like, block is also very interested in seeing how the N-way battle over on the Upper East Side is going to play out.
He stalls a bit, then slips out of the club to head back and get his gear. He warns Ace and Mr. X that he's "going dark for a bit", then (at roughly the same physical spot he earlier switched off his "Grunyon" commlink), he switches the "Meridian" commlink off and turns the "Grunyon" commlink back on.
He switches into clothes he wont mind throwing away, grabs his gear (Armored Jacket) and medkit, and heads up to the general area where we were supposed to meet.
Once nearby, he gets off pubic transport, then turns off the Grunyon commlink, switches on the Meridian commlink, and checks in. "Forgot to say thanks", is sent to Tiny. "Nice ride" is sent to Ace. Not knowing what to send to Mr. X, he thinks for a second, and then decides to send "Baka Imu" to Mr. X.
Block's starting intent is to walk from the bus stop in the general direction of the address for the lady we were supposed to find. If he gets different directions from either Ace, Mr. X or Tiny, he will shift to follow instructions.
Before he starts moving, he wants a feel for the local magical landscape. Does the magical air feel "normal", or is there some big psychic fire-analog nearby?
Assensing rolls:
Set 1: 6,5,6
Set 2: 1,5,3
Set 3: 5,4,5
Set 4: 2,5,4
While he's walking, he tries the, "I see everything/I see nothing" method of looking around to see what he can see. Are there guards posted somewhere? Are the streets empty or populated? Are there places where he needs to cross the street and walk on the other side? Does he see our hunter quarry? Does he see the missing girl?
Perception rolls:
Set 1: 1,5,3
Set 2: 5,4,3
Set 3: 4,2,4
Set 4: 6,1,1
Block does *not* stop to stare at any guards or suspicious people he sees - he continues to move towards his goal like he does not care one whit about what anyone around him is doing.
