You shift into Astral Vision, and the nightmare-ish surroundings in which you stand shift and expand into a hellish backdrop, complete with an empty firepit, loads of astral bodies piled (and in some places scattered) all around.  There are insectile legs poking out of strange bodies, some partially human, some more alien and spider-like than you have ever imagined.  It is truly shocking, the level of broken depravity that you witness before you, but all on the Astral, here in the gallery.  The mess, the carnage stops immediately at the threshhold of the room, and nothing extends outward into the delivery passage beyond.  You detect the faint (and creepy) aftermath of a multi-dimensional "creep", something almost tangible left over, fading from existence here, but at once time virulently dominant, an exotic dynamic, strangely evil-feeling, not something that sense can easily put words to.

It's fading, but not quickly.  There may have been a portal to another choatic dimension (maybe the spider's home dimension?  Do they even have one, or do all of the bugs live on the same plane, just the other side of the Astral?), but that no longer seems present - just the malevolent psychic after-taste of its passing hints to its prior existence, for however long it was here.  But you know - beyond a shadow of a doubt - that it *WAS* here.

And you inadvertently shudder in its after-effects...
