... I guess I have to post a contingency tree:
The thing that deflected his stunball is too close for comfort. If it is still moving by the time Block's action comes around, he's hitting it with a Power 5 stunbolt (emphasis on "bolt"):
Spellcasting, pool 9 dice: 2,1,1,2,5,5,1,4,4
Drain Value (5/2-1, rounds down to 1)
Drain Resist, pool 9 dice: 2,2,6,1,1,2,3,6,3
... which if those are real "1"s, he may have just turned himself inside out. Oh Joy and Rapture.
If the thing is *not* moving by the time his turn comes around, he says "ack! damn bug scared the CrashCart out of me! Sorry!" and then sees if something *else* is going to try to intercept his spell with our collective faces.
If so, *that* gets the stunbolt. If there is nothing too close, then the stunball gets lobbed at the group I intented to aim at, before.
Spellcast: 2,2,2,4,3,4,3,4,4
DV: 3
Drain Resist: 3,3,5,3,1,2,5,1,2
