In my infinite boredom... by shadowsystems2007-04-15 03:05:45
Two new designs... by shadowsystems 2007-04-19 19:55:41
Style 7 is a small, cozy, 3 bedroom, 3 bath, single story simple-construction home.
It's got a large, open kitchen with plenty of room to move around, and lots of "Drawers, Counter Tops, & Cabinets".
Each Guest Bedroom has it's own bathroom & a small walk-in closet .
The Foyer is large with plenty of room to accessorize as you desire.
The Great Room is a vaulted, open-truss design with large paddle fans, indirect lighting, and LARGE skylights to bring in as much light as possible.

Style 8 is a larger, 3 Bedroom, 4 Bath, single story, simple-construction home.
All the doorways are extra wide to be wheel chair accessible, & most open in both directions to make it easier / friendlier for 'chairs to access the home.
The front porch is an enclosed-screened area with BBQ island, a long, low shelf table (easy to pull up to in a 'chair), and a slight ramp leading from street to porch level.
The Weather Lock Hall is large enough to hold a wheel-in closet, as well as a 'chair friendly bathroom complete with safety bars.
The Foyer is large & has a fireplace in the West wall.
There is a cozy den with the "other half" of the fireplace, and beyond the Den is a large Office (or Craft Room, or what-ever tickles your fancy).
There is a large Library filled with bookscases, couches, and LOTS of natural lighting for a warm, comfortable place to read your favorite book.
The Master Bedroom is large with wrap-around 'chair-friendly desks flanking the bed & plenty of room for decorating.
The Master bathroom features a standing 'chair-accessible bathtub (like the one found here) and shower stall, with 'chair friendly toilet, sink, & safety bars.
The Closet in the Master bedroom is large enough to do doughnuts in a wheelchair, but please don't.
The Laundry room is large with front loading heavy duty washer & drier units, a large sink, & low 'chair friendly counters & drawers like those found in the kitchen.
There is a large, low, storage cabinet with extra wide doors for LOTS of knick-knacks.
The Kitchen is large & designed for 'chair friendly navigation.
The R/F units are wide & low, making sure everything can be easily reached.
The Dishwasher pulls out on rails so even the back of the racks can be filled & emptied easily.
The Stove & Oven unit is a low profile model that gives easier reach to the back burners from a 'chair while still allowing a full sized turkey to be cooked in the oven.
The Drawers pull out on rails so even the back corners are easy to get to. Because they don't have doors that swing to either side like a traditional cabinet, they can be easily accessed from either side as needed.
The Kitchen Table is large, long, and low with chairs that fit completely underneath for storage, as well as making them chair friendly.
With lots of long, low counters to hold things, there's rarely any complaint of not enough space to put stuff.
Each of the two Guest Bedrooms has a small roll-in closet, a 'chair friendly bathroom with safety railings, and easy-access-from-either-side bed.
The Great Room is large, open, and has lots of skylights for giving "an evening under the stars" feel without actually having to go brave the mosquitoes. =)
And finally we have an indoor, heated, 'chair friendly pool.
With Clean & Dirty Linen hampers just inside the door, no one has any excuse not to have a fresh towel.
Long, low, waterproof bench couches line the walls with small, short coffee tables to give places to set one's drink or glasses.
There is a chair friendly shower area, and the entrance to the pool itself is comprised of two shallow-angle ramps.
It's just deep enough at the base of the ramps (3') for you to start to float free, and with the rest of the pool ahead of you, you can leave the chair there & swim as you desire.
