Gotta' love this economy... by LongFist2011-09-09 05:54:35
Jobs griping in progress - but not what you think! by LongFist2015-11-10 11:53:47
Level 5 progress scuttled. Bummer. by LongFist 2015-11-19 07:45:37
But I interviewed well for the Mechatronics position, so we'll have to wait and see.

To his credit, the BIG BOSS came down on Tuesday and delivered the message personally, face-to-face, instead of sending an eMail or worse, a form letter.  So he gets high marks from me in any case.

Because I have yet to inform my current bosses of my coup to shift over to Mechatronics, and the envelope is closing on actual "shift" time, the relative window for politicking is also closing, meaning that this may be the time that I achieve this goal.  We'll have to see.

Going to have lunch with my Microsoft Recruiter next week.  Could be a good thing, could be nothing at all.  But (for now) I'm labeling it as a "possible opportunity", just in case, and moving forward.  In that case, time will surely tell.  Last time they contacted me I was in the process of replacing an Engine in a cousin-of-a-friend's Toyota, a Cressida or maybe a Tercel I think; don't quite remember.  But against all odds (and the fact that at the time I had no degrees to my name) I made it in, anyway.  So nothing can be ruled out, at this point.  (Except that my beautiful wife doesn't want me going back there...         ...that could be considered a detriment, I think...)
