that amperage is going to require a bit of wangling. This is a BIG draw. Yes, the circuit is way more efficient, but the parts are going to be a bit hefty. Look at the power supply in a PC, and the regulation section of that, just a few amps each section, not close to 30.

Yes you should use the 30 Amp transistors if the budget will hold them. The bigger you can get the better, keeps the part count down. Makes it easier to cool, too.
