You land perfectly despite your fatigue. No loud thumps or hard drops, so this is a landing you can walk away from in style and grace. Might want to remind Ace about that later, as if he ever doubted you. You can tell this has been an extremely exciting experience, and when you think about it, it's been pretty fun up until now, hasn't it? You get your bearings, note the trio of trouble heading over the distant rise, and shift your focus...
...to the realms of Magic! Here you make note of many details that aren't readily evident on "the other side". First off, you can see that all distances have been somehow expanded, and the myriad different flows of magic interwoven shout out loud "Group Magic! Group Magic!" You can tell that there are several mages at work in unison here. The level of cohesion is fantastic, and the details of the weaves - celtic in nature, singularly delicate - much the same as a strand of spider web might be considered delicate - but interlaced masterfully together in such harmony as to enhance their strengths exponentially! Whomever they are, their level of coordination is exquisite! The level of detail just goes on and on and on...
The fire, off in the distance, appears to pulse on this level of awareness along with the stroke of the deep booming drum. Neon brown wavelet rings issue forth in a burst with each deep oscillation, quickly transitioning across the grounds, passing over and through you like a rapid tide. Milliseconds later the wavelet is gone, receding in the distance behind you. As you look, you notice the wavelets seem to stop at the walls surrounding Central Park. Interesting. Still, off in the distance (at about 1 pulse per 3 seconds) the flames brighten and dim with the expansive rhythm. You note that it also has deeply peaceful qualities, it seems to try and numb your defensive edge, filling you with a feeling of peace and goodwill. Not bad, but you can see the enchantment rolling out from the fire, so you're aware of its effects. Being aware of it isn't enough to really help you resist it, though, but that just might be your "real" self deep down seeking comfort. You can't be sure.
You think you see Mr. X mount the distant rise that the trio of troublemakers just disappeared behind, but you can't be sure if it is (Mr. X) because the entire form is dark, like death, and shows very little in the way of life/living aura. If it *IS* X, he's fairly well a master at damping/masking his aura. And in no time he vanishes from plain sight. The area continues to pulse every three seconds to a neon brown wavelet that spreads peace and tranquility from the center of the flames, still burning off in the distance. The ground plane is otherwise uninterrupted, and no noise beyond the distant fire drum can be heard - even the crickets have gone silent. Maybe it's those drums off in the wild distance...
[Note: You'll need to tell me when you decide to shift back into "Normal" not "Magic" viewing. Assensing takes no magic to maintain, so "switching" from one vision type to the other is a "toggle", like any other mode of vision might be.] |
