*WHOOSH* The sound of a deadline rushing past. by shadowsystems 2006-08-15 23:05:25
I told y'all about the guy who I had to repo the computer from.
I gave him two weeks to come up with the money or consider the matter closed.
I called him Wedneday of last week to ask him if he was still interested, since I hadn't heard anything from him.
He said he had over half of it already, & expected to get the rest NLT Monday.
Fast forward to earlier tonight when I get a call on my cell phone from him:
"My car blew a tire, and that wiped out my cash. Is there any chance I can get a two week extension?"
I tried to stop myself, I really did, but I dropped my phone laughing.
"No deal. You had a time-line, you agreed to it. Will you have the cash by Wednesday?"
No?
"Then we're done. It's mine, I'll find someone else to sell it to. I wish I could say it was a pleasure doing business with you."

So now I'm scrubbing all his stuff off of it in order to prep it to become my mother's new system.
It's 2x as powerfull as what she's currently using, and once I get done moving her to the new one, I'll use her old one as my Cousin's "new" system, since it's 2x as powerfull as what HE was using.

I won't make a dime off any of it, but I'll FEEL a thousand percent better. =)
