      Hey Ace, You're a Star! by LongFist 2017-05-30 18:58:15
Surely you realize that (a) any scans that your decoy comms unit perform will always come to you in realtime, right?  Also, you won't have nearly enough time to try and pull all of that off - time dilation is occurring (told you some things were going to shift) and you can only do so many things per "turn" before you simply run out of "actions".  So this time you're the paranoid scan-bunny: fortunately you find no hidden scanners or what might be considered booby-traps "out there" past the doorway.  You *do* hear some weird scraping, scratching noises, seemingly right from directly overhead.  Rats in the ceiling?  Anything is possible, you guess.  Whatever it may be - it's definitely INSIDE the dock area, not out here where you guys are standing.  Is that a good thing?  Who knows?

Your position is most DEFINITELY at X's side - something stiff and metallic (and unseen) barely brushes your shoulder as you slip over and take the indicated position.  At least that part's working right, right?
