With that, Block starts hoofing it, back towards the way we came in. He does not run, unless he notices Mr. X or Ace start running. Instead, he takes on the quick stride of someone who "saw nothing, heard nothing, and really wants to be somewhere else, for example enjoying a plate of hot wings with his best buddies, right here."
When he gets up to the wall, he switches back to astral sensing, to see if he can tell where the edge of the ritual is, and (more importantly) if it is warded in such a way that crossing it would be bad.
