Astral detection shows the other side to be foggy with some sort of aerosol FAB (Flourescing Astral Bacteria: if it contacts anything magical - like an invisible mage or the like - it glows) but usually you can't "see" it at all until something magical sets it off - which makes for some interesting conjecture at this point, because it's just barely flickering like a bad neon sign, but only to your astral perception. That, of course, keeps Grunyon from seeing anything else on the astral in the foyer, but beyond being wrecked the foyer looks to be empty of living beings.
