If profile migration is not possible, the Outlook Express folder containing the OE6 email should be copied to the desktop and imported from the copy. Windows Mail's error message is actually being caused by "file ownership". Seems the importer must OWN these files for import to take place. NB: this is not an issue when importing contacts from .WAB "Address Book" files.
