Mom just got her test results back "today" (yesterday, but I've not been to sleep yet, so) and while it IS leukemia, it's in the very early stages.
They can't DO anything about it other than monitor it and make sure it doesn't go ballistic, but otherwise she's got decades ahead of her without it becoming debilitating. They were honest with her and said at some point she WILL require meds for the pain, but even THAT is years down the line.
She eats healthy, excersizes daily, and is generally a physically fit person, so that helps her a LOT more than anything else. The doc said that, if she keeps up her eating patter & excersize regimen, she may not even notice any changes until she reaches her *70's*...
(PHEW!)
And, Grandfather is doing much better... It was a heart attack, but a mild one, and it didn't do any serious damage to the artery walls. He's in under observation, and the Docs say they want him to stay in bed for a day or two until he gets his strength back (he's a bit of a light eater, always has been, so the fact that he's rail thin and weighs like 145lbs at 6'1, the docs want to make sure he's ok and STAYS that way...)
AAAAAaaaannnn...
The neighbor's dog that disembowled my cat?
We found it under a bush in my backyard...
Kitty did NOT go down without a fight.
Little Mister Rotty was nearly *flayed* - my cat went into "Living Blender Mode" and *tore his [BEEP]ing [BEEP] right UP! BAH HAHahahahhaha...
Ok, so I shouldn't laugh at the dog's demise, but it DID kill my cat, and the [BEEP]ing thing always growled at me like it wanted to tear my face off, so I can't exactly say I'm depressed at it's passing...
(Laughing evilly)
Thank you one & all for your well wishes, good vibes, and posative thoughts.
For that, may you each find a thousand dollars wedged behind some wallpaper in your residence... <8-)
