<Warning - Ego Alert!>

...anything at my disposal. I've been a programming mercenary since 1984 (officially - that's when it started making money for me) - and I've programmed for DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 3.11 for WorkGroups, Windows95 through Windows98se, WindowsNT (3.51 through NT4), Windows2K and Windows2kServer, WindowsXP, Unix, AIX, Linux (Slackware, RedHat, and once for Mandrake!), OS-4, and a couple of platforms that defy naming (they call it one thing, but it's a hacked kernel for something else, so...

...and in those years, I have used/programmed/developed in Basic, DOS Batch, Windows Script, TurboPascal, C and C++ (both MS's and Borland's Turbo), COBOL, Intel 80x86 Assembler, embedded Intel 80x86 Assembler, Microsoft's MASM Assembler, Clipper, DBase 3 and 4, VC and VC++ (pretty much the same thing, really), VB, VBA, Access (which is actually VBA - Visual Basic for Applications), and loads of Word/Access/Excel scripting. I also have been forced to learn PERL (which I think I rather like!), HTML, XML, iHTML, and Javascript (which is so much like Pascal as to be scary!).

</Warning - Ego Alert!>

Not to brag - just to let you know that while I've been there - I've never stagnated. And the coolest thing is - it still continues! And the more they change the rules, the more they stay the same!

I love learning, I love meeting new people, and if there's anything I can do to help you with logic problems/development issues, I'll be glad to step in and give you a shout! (Or a nudge, or a bump, or a whisper, or a worn-out pressed daffodil - hey, it's the thought that counts, right? :P)

And when you see me posting on this board 50 years from now (yeah - I'm eternally optimistic - if I weren't, I'd have given up hope long, long ago!) - I suspect I'll still be as happy-go-lucky, having learned the latest GRPFUNC5a (or whatever) programming language to use on my Slackware/Redhat Linux 46.31 box - I'll still be reaching out, helping the others, with my hopelessly optimistic outlook - but I'll still be smiling and making jokes...

Hope to talk with you again soon!!!

:D
