How many computers do you own? by kelli2172004-04-22 09:03:22
Hmm, let's see if I can remember them all... by funtime 2004-04-23 11:26:10
My main system is a
-Duron 950 (bought off a friend when he upgraded, but upgraded a bit since then)
-512MB RAM
-120GB Drive
-ATI All-in-a-wonder 8500DV (with remote)
-SB-Live sound card
-CD-RW/DVD drive & CD-Rom drive
-17" Flat Panel Spectra LCD Monitor
-Running W2k

My second best computer (aquired from helping a friend upgrade) is a
-Dell PIII-500
-Vodoo 3 3000 video card
-192MB Ram
-2x6GB Hard Drives
-16X CD-Rom Drive
-an old 2x CD-RW drive (from a friend who upgraded)
-17" CRT
-Running w2k (adding 98SE) (had Gentoo on it a year ago, but i didn't have the time to keep it up to date / learn it)

I also aquired a
-Dell PPro200 (from work when they were getting rid of some old systems)
-96MB RAM
-2GB drive (i think)
-Currently running Win98SE
- I most recently used this to play Mist and Riven. (This is currently being a shelf for parts while I've been playing with the PIII-500)

My Original system was a
-P100
-16MB RAM
-1.2GB HD
-4x CR-Rom Drive
-a 2MB Trident Video card
-a 33.6 Modem (that i haven't used in a long time)
-a 15" monitor (which died somewhere along the line)
This has been upgraded many times, and currently is a
-P200
-64MB RAM
-2GB or 6GB HD (can't remember which)
-a Viper 330 video card
-running Win95
(this is setting on a shelf)

I recently made room to bring my collection of Commodore 64s up from my parent's house.
I have
-4 C-64s, 2 of which don't work, one has only partial color :(, and one works fine.
-4 1541 Floppy Drives (2 old style, 2 new style)
-a (1530?)DataSet drive
-Commodore Monitor
-several joysticks and mice
-several boxes of 5 1/4 floppies with games, GEOS, and other stuff on them

I also have lots of extra
-power cables
-network cables
-IDE cables
-floppy cables,
-screws
-other misc parts
And a few extra
-Hard Drives (smallish)
-video cards
-network cards
-other misc cards
I have a total of 4 monitors,
-the 17" LCD
-a 17" CRT
-2 15" CRTs (one is ok, the other is really fuzzy).
I'll probably get another 17" CRT from work to replace one of the 15" CRTs, or possibly to replace a friend's 15" CRT. ;)

I have a
-Cable Modem
-Linksys Router
-APC Back-UPS Pro 1000VA
-a pair of Adaptec speakers (hooked to my main machine)
-a radio / speakers set hooked up to my main system for better sound
-a ProLogic speaker set hooked to my game machine (whichever one is hooked up at the time).

Oh, and I recently aquired 6-8 Dell LattitudeLM P133 Laptops (several of which have screen problems). I think I can get 4-5 working systems out of that collection.

And I've given away several systems ( <P180 range) to friends/family.

Is that enough Computer stuff? ;)
