Did you apply at McDonalds? Hechts? Any retail store? Fast Food? ANYTHING?
There are MANY jobs out there. If I lost my job I could literally be employed tomorrow, albeit at a substantially lowered salary. About as quarter of my current one. I would lose the house, but it would be SOMETHING to live on.
And the poor today do not compare to the poor of the 30's and 40's. They had no food, no housing, no medical care. Current poor 'as a rule' are housed, fed, and have medical care - all paid for by the taxpayer.
So even though CR has occasionally rubbed me the wrong way - there was no personal attack, you are being excessively sensitive over this paltry inconsequential comment, and need to get over it.
Obsessing over something this minor might be a sign that you need to take a break from internet forums completely. Not a healthy sign. |
