The Cast
In every industry there are specific archetypes that are familiar to all who
work within its infrastructure. The cast of User Friendly may or may not
have individuals who are archetypes: it would be nice to think that each
character is substantially different from one another, other than the Dust Puppy,
who bears a passing resemblance to Mike's beard. Oh, and Stef, who's grasp of
ethics approaches Erwin's ability to stay out of trouble. And let's not forget
A.J.'s cynicism which is only matched by Cobb's lousy golf game. And...err...draw
your own conclusions. To help matters, each character's Geek Code block is included. If you don't
know what a geek code is, go check it out. Not only is it cool, it's a necessary
step on your journey to ultimate geekhood. The Geek Code Decoder Page is also quite
useful.

Character Gallery
Over time, UFies have come to identify with various members of the cast. We
regularly receive requests from fans who want to know more about the folks at
Columbia Internet. The Character Gallery is our way of meeting those requests.
Over the next several months, a call for interview questions for a particular
character will go out on the Daily Static. We will assemble the fan questions and
the resulting character interview will be added to the Gallery. We will also
expand each Character Gallery further by adding new pieces of art, icons, buttons
and images as they are created.
As with everything else on the UF site, fan participation is encouraged. If
you have a suggestion for the Gallery, or wish to submit a piece of specific character
art, please email them to gallery@userfriendly.org

The Primary Cast of Characters:
- Miranda, the very skilled, very female sysadmin.
- Pitr, Evil Coder with a Fake Slavic Accent.
- Greg, the frustrated, homicidal/suicidal Tech Support minion.
- Stef, the Marketdroid, bereft of ethics but full of "ideas."
- Sid, the Old Geek, CTO and Pitr's arch-nemesis.
- A.J., the creative web guy and gamer with No Life.
- Mike, the hyperintelligent, hypoglycemic network admin.
- The Chief, the grey-headed Boss who really doesn't want to know.
- The Smiling Man, financial controller and locus of Uncomfortable Silences.
- Erwin, the Artificial Intelligence with wit made from acid.
- Dust Puppy, all that is gentle in this cruel world.
