About 20 runners on the team this year for largest turn out ever. A grand time was had by some. Others have aching feet. Like certain sysadmins, and web divas. For instance.

| [Kickstart] EASTER SURPRISE FINAL | Date:Fri Apr 20 13:58:28 2001 |
| Many thanks to all who wore out their mice clicking on everything under the sun trying to guess at the secret combination of pages which brought them to our Easter Egg Surprise! I've already posted a 'spoiler' under the original news item, but here it is again for those who either couldn't find it, or didn't have time to search: - Go to the Privacy Policy page on the bottom bar of any page
- -Without going anywhere else- click on Calendar on the left-side navigation
- Scroll down and click on the egg!
You will download a rather large TIFF file ready for colour printing (though nothing stops you from printing in black and white)!

| [Illiad] USER FRIENDLY TRIBE FOR *TRIBES 2* | Date:Wed Apr 18 22:02:48 2001 |
Consummate alpaca shepherd Oneiros has put together a User Friendly Tribe for Tribes 2, the latest multiplayer first-person shooter from Sierra: During one of my many moments of megalomania (mmm... alliteration), I created a Userfriendly tribe for Tribes 2. "We have dedicated ourselves to following the ways of the Dustpuppy and Penguin. Fear our l33t naked skillz." As yet this tribe consists of only myself, but any and all UFies are welcome to join. Much fragging awaits us, my friends! You can also contact Oneiros directly. So? What are you waiting for? Join up! :)

| [WebDiva D] BRAVO, IAMBE! | Date:Tue Apr 17 13:31:23 2001 |
| There I was perusing my most recent Silicon Salley newsletter and what did mine eyes behold? Silicon Salley's Profile on Iambe, our very own Garden Variety Goddess. Well done, luv. I had the pleasure of meeting with Emily Hofstetter and Candice Nelms, the CEO and CTO of Silicon Salley, while I was in New York for the Linux World Expo. Amazing women, tons of talent, and terrific energy. If you haven't made a stop at Silicon Salley, do yourself a favor.

| [Illiad] ARS PUBLICA | Date:Mon Apr 16 22:28:50 2001 |
...which is Pseudo Englatin for "the Art of Going Public." Quite a few people have asked me if last week's shots at the V.C. known as Lawrence Staukhalter had any bearing on real life. The answer is yes, they did, but mostly with the process of going public; we're lucky in that the V.C. group who is working with us are actually a good bunch of guys. Mind you, that won't stop me from needling them. ;) For those who missed the news items a few weeks ago, you can find out more about UF going public and buying stock by going to our Investor Relations page. It has a handy FAQ and all that stuff. And that's it, I'm going to bed.
