A REMINDER ABOUT BEING POLITE: Recently our hostmaster at Server North has been blackholing IPs like they were going out of style. This is due to two reasons: suspected botnet activity and scraping. He does the former as a matter of NOC policy; he does the latter by my instruction, along with the phrase "extreme prejudice."
Please do not scrape or script-hammer UF. Not only does it hurt us financially, it's terribly impolite. You have access to nearly ten years of daily cartoons, and you don't have to pay me one red cent. The least you could do is be well-mannered about it. Yes, a proper RSS feed and more convenient ways of accessing the 'toons are coming, but until then, please be a good neighbour.
If you get blackholed (probably at work, so you'll be able to see this at home), drop us a line with your IP address. We'll expect you to LART the offender (and if it's you, coming clean would go a long way) before we restore access.
We really don't want to blackhole anyone, but at the same time we expect people to play nice. I think that's fair.
