The activity in Geekfinder is way down...employers don't seem to be posting and seekers don't seem to searching...not surprising given recent world events. I've delayed putting up GF info up till now but it's time to get on track again. You might remember Mark, our previous Geekfinder Featured Resume I recently checked back with him for an update and got this response I thought I should give you an update on my GeekFinder story. Unfortunately I was unable to find a job through GeekFinder and eventually pounded enough pavement to land another Administrator position with Midtnn.net. It doesn't pay as well as my previous job, but in this job market today...I'll take it.After getting feedback from all the Ufies about how to create a better resume, I did get more responses. So, I believe this is a successful failure, if you will. I'd like to extend all of you my thanks for your help, and the best of luck to your former co-workers out there. Wish I had the budget to pick them up. Till next time...hopefully far into the future. Mark Vancil We have no success stories to share this month, but we do have two Featured Resumes. Best of luck to Camille and Ted. This month in Between Geeks our Geekfinder/UF News Item, Erik L. writes Now. Here's my problem with the Geekfinder."Must have 4 years experience in field." - For an installation tech. "Must have 2 years experience in field" - For a tech support position. "Engineering Degree required" - For a damn assembly position. Where have all the entry level positions gone? So, employers/headhunters, where *have* all the entry level positions gone?If you have a Geekfinder Success story, would like your Geekfinder resume featured or would like to contribute to Between Geeks, please email WebDiva.
