 Welcome to the month of August!
HOST TO HOST: UF has changed hosts (after six years with the same one!) so there may be some DNS/caching weirdness going on for a day or three. The Yohimbinator (UF's Deep Geek) did a grand job indeed of moving the site over swiftly and with a minimum of hiccups. There may be some speed issues over the next few days, so please bear with us as they're worked out.
AUGUST UF CONTEST: Here it is! This time around the contest will put your limericking skills to work. Come up with a limerick about UF, the characters, a UF storyline, UF's impact on your life, etc! Rules: no profanity, no mean-spiritedness, and most of all, no ripoffs! Also, you must adhere to standard limerick structure (CAUTION: lime green background, avert eyes!) or you'll be disqualified. Only one entry per person, please.
Submit your completed limerick to my usual email addie no later than 1200 hours Pacific Time, August 29th, 2003. All entries may be displayed on the site upon completion of the contest. I'll be selecting two runners-up (who win a hi-quality print of their choice from the archives) and one winner (who wins a print and a UF book of their choice). Good luck and mad skills!
