WIKIPEDIA HITS THE TARGET: Congrats to the fab gang at Wikipedia for hitting the fund-raising goal of US$50K! Bloody well done and it's nice to see in this day and age. I suppose people are beginning to grok that There Is Nothing Free on the Web, no matter how much they may wish for this. And that's heartening for independent creators like myself. Five years ago if anyone asked for a few bucks to help support their work they'd have been stoned to death.
Now that Wikipedia has made its goal, I'd like to remind folks that this isn't the end of it. Wikipedia will continue to need funds and I urge all of you to consider this, particularly if you use their service on any sort of regular basis.
