SORRY WOLLONGONG: Alas, it turns out I won't be able to make it to the speaking engagement at the University of Wollongong. I had rather hoped I could, but time is tight in August. I will be at the SAGE 2004 Conference in Brisbane however. I believe I'll be doing the welcoming speech on the 17th, a book signing on the 18th, and a dinner speech on the 19th. And no, I don't know any good jokes about New Zealanders.

TECH SUPPORT SPHERES FOR SALE: Remember the fabulous 8-ball from years past? Well, UFie Paul G. has gone and made a limited number of geek-friendly Tech Support Spheres and you can pick one or three up pretty cheaply! They make great gifts for that boss, co-worker, family member or friend who calls on you to fix their computer. When something goes wrong, tell them to ask the sphere a question. My favourite answer: "Not Supported." I have a few myself and they're a riot!
