Just call me preacher:A very nice letter came in from Jeff N. over the weekend: I thought that you would like to know that because of Userfriendly.org I have started to use Linux. I have been reading your comic for several years now and the other day I was feeling nostalgic, so I started reading the archives from 1997 to the present. After seeing so many funny shots taken at Microsoft and the hearing of the praises of Linux and Unix I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered a copy of Redhat's Linux and just today installed it on my old PC. I've wanted to do that for a long time. Ever since I had a Unix class in school. It just took your wonderful comic to give me that final push. Thank you for all the great laughs.
Most welcome! Although the purpose of the strip isn't to help convert people, I'm glad it's at least having a positive impact. Choice is positive. Forty-two Gun Salute to the contributors of the Intruder Project: And some of you thought it wouldn't even get off the ground. We have Intruder Lite for both Win32 and Linux available for download, binaries and source code! Interested in helping out? Visit intruder.com for details. Finally, a reminder that there is an Intruder developers' IRC channel at irc.openprojects.net, channel #ufintruder. Kudos to the contributors thus far for a job well done! Dead Tree Edition: O'Reilly has published the third collection of User Friendly comic strips in The Root of All Evil. I understand that the book did very well at this last Linux World Expo, which is very gratifying. Thank you for your support!. :)
