The 15th USENIX Security Symposium brings together researchers, practitioners, system administrators, and others interested in the latest advances in the security of computer systems and networks. The 2-day training program offers in-depth tutorials by experts such as Dan Geer on Measuring Security and Richard Bejtlich on TCP/IP Weapons School. The comprehensive technical program begins with a keynote address by former senior White House Advisor and best-selling author Richard A. Clarke and includes 22 refereed papers, a poster session, and invited talks by Matt Blaze, Ed Felton, Crispin Cowan, and more.

ILLIAD FOR A DAY (IFAD) 2006: It's that time again! Put on your cartoonist's hats and start thinking up some evil machinations for your very own UF cartoon strip! Download the template & font files here and using the art that currently exists in the archives, put together your own User Friendly cartoon! You have until May 31st to come up with your best work and submit it to be judged by my jaundiced eye. Check out the winners from IFAD 2005 to see what you're up against!
The rules are simple: 1. Only ONE submission per person. If you submit more than one, I'll only consider your most recent entry. 2. Entries must be submitted by 12:00 Noon Pacific Daylight Time, May 31st, 2006. 3. Entries must adhere to the spirit of UF's PG-13 content rating. Watch your language and subject matter. 4. Only artwork from UF's archives may be used. You can cut it up, modify it, whatever you like. 5. Entries must be submitted using the provided cartoon template and font. 6. Submissions are to be sent to me (illiad at this domain) with the subject "IFAD 2006" 7. Be funny, clever or both. LEGAL: All submissions become the property of J.D. Frazer & UserFriendly.Org. Finally, the prizes: Two runners-up will receive free one-year Standard Memberships to User Friendly and one signed UF cartoon print each of their choice. The winner will receive a free one-year Evil Genius Membership to User Friendly and three signed UF cartoon prints of his or her choice. Let the games begin!
