MASSACHUSETTS, I SHALL TRAVEL HITHER: I'll be doing a couple of speeches near the end of this month: a talk at the Worcestor Linux Users Group on February 25th, 2004 and another talk at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge on February 26th, 2004. I hope to see a bunch of you at either or both!
THE NEXT CONTEST IS A NAG: You know those nag strips that pop up every now and then during a UF sponsorship drive? Now's your chance to come up with something witty, annoying or both! Unlike the Illiad for a Day contest (which I'll be bringing back this year) you won't be required to actually draw the nag strip. Just describe it really well, and send an email directly to me at the usual addie. Be sure to put "UF Contest Entry: Nag Strip" in the subject field! Only one entry per person, please. If you send in more than one, I'll only look at the first one you send. The winner and runners-up will get a signed hi-res print of their idea rendered by yours truly, and will have their nag strips used in the next drive. The winner will also receive a signed copy of Even Grues Get Full. The deadline is noon on March (yes, next month) 31st 2004. Get nagging!
RSS & OTHER WAYS OF GETTING YOUR UF SMACK: Still working on a couple of solutions regarding RSS (not technologically, but on the business-side) feeds, and I'm close to finishing the specs for a mailing service whereby you get the strip in your e-mail every day. Patience, and your cups shall be fruitful. And some other mixed metaphors.
You can expect another update in the next week or so. Onward!
