AND THE WINNERS OF IFAD 2006 ARE: We had a grand total of 102 entries this year! Some were decidedly clever and some were...surreal. The two runners-up are Barry Drake with one of the worst camping puns EVAR and Miko Sullivan with a gleefully horrid prank to play on the imaginative. The winner is Jeff Sergeant with this terribly geeky entry. Winners please drop me a line at the usual addie (illiad at this domain) and we'll sort out prizes. Well done everyone, and I hope even more of you try out for the next IFAD contest!
DESKTOP CALENDAR FOR JUNE 2006: Late once again :-/, the UF Desktop Calendar for June 2006 is now available in Sunday first and Monday first versions. [.PNG, 1600x1200, ~160k]. Please enjoy!

DEMENTED IS GOOD: If you're not a Canadian resident (or can't legally work in Canada) read no further. However, if you are, and you have the ability to do stark, dystopic, film-noirish Web-ready illustrations, I'd love to hear from you. This is a contract work-for-hire position that involves producing a mittful (as in hundreds) of small portraits and sketches of objects. Pay and working hours are deliverables based. I don't care if you're in Vancouver, Winnipeg, Inuvik or Toad River; you just have to be scrupulous about deadlines, produce a steady level of production-quality art, and have a portfolio that can prove your ability. Drop me a line at illiad at this domain. NB: This is for a project unrelated to UF.
