| [Illiad] TAKING STOCK IN USERFRIENDLY | Date:Fri Mar 23 12:12:14 2001 |
| Imagine climbing a large, sheer, slippery, jagged, pointy, sharp, merciless and rash-inducing mountain with one hand tied behind your back. Naked. For nearly a year. That about describes the experience of completing a QT, which is like a reverse takeover, only different. But we got to the summit successfully! And UF is about to start trading stock in the public markets. In the current economic climate, you might think we're daft for going public. But we have a different opinion, as well as a different mindset. What's against us is the economic climate. What's on our side is: we're trading on a heavily regulated junior board (the Canadian Venture Exchange or CDNX); we started and will continue this process with a mind to build a long-term sustainable business; and we already have an extensive influential and loyal audience. There also isn't a whole lot of stock out there, and it'll open at a price - less than a Canadian dollar - to enable most people to have access to a few thousand shares. AND we even designed a nifty share certificate with UF art on it, which you can frame and mount on a wall. We're hoping you, like us, are in it for the long haul. So, come Monday, March 26, you'll have a chance to both help us out and buy a piece of your online enterainment/community centre. It'll be trading under the symbol UFM on the CDNX. More details can be found on our Investor Relations site. And thank you for your support!

| [Yohimbe] LION worm | Date:Fri Mar 23 11:04:35 2001 |
This just in from security correspondent MUX: Hey all you sysadmins, this is for you: the LION bind worm is running rampant across the net. Exploits BIND versions previous to 8.2.3-REL and 8.2.3-REL-NOESW. Installs a nasty rootkit, and propagates itself. Unlike Ramen, it also installs a trojaned SSH client and starts listening on a high-numbered port. Lots of info at Sans I've seen over 100 scans for this on my network since *yesterday*. *shudder* - and you thought Ramen was bad? Cheers, - Mux. Updated; 8.2.3. oops

| [Illiad] SOMETIMES IT ALL BECOMES VERY CLEAR | Date:Wed Mar 21 00:52:34 2001 |
I just got this in e-mail from sfpanda: A fellow UFie (Farwalker) and I went up to the User Friendly birthday party last November (from San Francisco), and I fell in love with her while we were there. On St. Patrick's Day, I proposed, and she said, "Yes." So, User Friendly will be responsible for starting another happy marriage. Awwwwwwwwww. :) Stuff like this makes everything so worthwhile. I hope everyone will join me in wishing sfpanda and farwalker the very best of luck for their future!

| [Illiad] PARDON THE INTRUSION | Date:Mon Mar 19 00:43:19 2001 |
Just a few things worth a look-see. The userfriendly.org community game project Intruder is off and rolling. We actually have a document nearing completion with game rules and requirements engineering spec'd out, plus several task-specific mailing lists, some initial interface designs and an actual, working demo in Python of all things. Talk about cool. We're a long way off from a beta yet, but it's all coming together. And all of it can be found at http://www.intruder.com/. FAQ: Is it too late to join in on the fun? Absolutely not! We'll be posting a sign-up webform shortly to help split the resources we have up into teams, among other managerial-type things. This insanity stuff is remarkable fun.
