 What would it cost you to say "thank you"?
What would it cost you, on Remembrance Day, to kneel and silently give thanks at one cross, or headstone, or cenotaph? What would it cost you to approach a veteran, or a veteran's widow or widower, or his or her children, or parents, and solemnly take their hand and offer quiet words of gratitude? What would it cost you to go to an old soldier, offer to buy him a coffee or a beer, and just sit with him for an hour?
