 Welcome back from the holidays, and a Happy New Circle Around the Sun!
As we move into the new year, we have a mittful of plans for UF, not all of which will be obvious, but some will. For example, it's about time we gave the site a bit of a facelift. Nothing incredibly dramatic, mind you, but enough of a change that will allow UF to expand as needed in a clean fashion as opposed to cobbling everything together. You won't have to re-learn the navigation on the site -- we're trying very hard to keep that aspect much the way it is. Watch for the changes over the next several weeks.
We're also going to be starting up something I've been wanting to do: a roughly once-a-month draw for all of the paid members. This isn't something we could formally mention in the Terms of Service, since that brings in the whole lottery and gaming license headache, but we can do it as an informal thing. So, starting now, approximately once a month we'll be drawing (a) name(s) out of the paid-member hat and giving away something nifty as an additional thank-you to folks for supporting UF.
I've been hip-deep in working on UF (the comic and the community collectively) for more than five years, and as we barrel headlong into the sixth, I continue to thank the stars (and all of you!) for giving me the opportunity to do what I do. It's a tough ride, and always has been, but I wouldn't trade this for the world. Um....okay, I'd ditch this gig to rule the planet, but you get the idea. :)
