[Illiad] FURTHER EVIDENCE OF WORLD DOMINATIONDate:Sun Jun 2 23:48:40 2002
And here we were, thinking that the world was still safe. Proof that Pitr-Cola is spreading rapidly: A bottle of Pitr-Cola here and another bottle here. (These are merely two of the many that I've received by sharp-eyed readers thus far). Topping it all off is the Pitr-Cola advertising campaign going on in major metropolitan centres. Thank you to everyone who sent the evidence in. I wonder when he's going to IPO?

[Illiad] THAT THERE WHITE PAPER FROM IBMDate:Wed May 29 14:07:13 2002
I just did what I should've done a while ago: had a look at what one of UF's advertisers had to offer. Specifically, I downloaded the IBM white paper on eBiz security and had a read.

Briefly, and speaking as a content-provider, the paper is meant for anyone who heads up an IT division and has security and privacy concerns. (NOTE: They do ask for a legitimate snail mail addie so they can send those who are interested in the service/product line further info.) If you're a CIO or DTO or of that ilk, it might be worth the download. Or, you can grab it for someone you think can use it and send it on.

Back to your regularly scheduled World Domination...

[Illiad] THE PITR-COLA ARCHIVESDate:Mon May 27 21:15:17 2002
It's already begun. j.verhaar sent in this photo of a can of Pitr-Cola using the hi-res image you can download here. [400k ZIP file]

As proof of the recently launched (and obviously very successful) scheme by Pitr to take over the world, I'd like to send you a foto I made yesterday (look at the TV-guide on the table) of an empty Can of Pitr-Cola. As I live in the Netherlands this proves the huge amount of effort and organisation behind this campaign.

j.verhaar appears to be correct. Beware, everyone. By the by, if you see more evidence of Pitr-Cola taking over your neighbourhood, by all means send it in to the usual address: illiad at userfriendly dot org. Thanks!

Geekfinder Success Story - Jeffrey S.
This is short; just a reminder to those having trouble to keep trying! I have been searching for a new position on and off since January. The work I was in was too stressful and demanding and I wanted out. Come April I had had enough and began searching in earnest. I got the typical results: no reply from the company at all, appalling interviews by HR twits, the 'Oh, we filled that job yesterday', the 'We are hiring, but not until we close this contract. Call back next week.'...Read Full Story...
