 The more observant members of the community will have noticed a few changes on the website; we've been busy doing the ol' spring cleaning and tidying up around the house, so you'll see a few menu items tucked further in but almost everything that was there before is still there. We've also added New Improved icons for things like the Link of the Day and the News section, just because it would irritate Martha Stewart's sense of uniformity.You'll also notice that we've added CNET-sized boxes and skyscraper ads to the site. Reality in the online ad industry dictates that we accommodate what some advertisers want. However, as usual, we do our best to closely vet advertisers for fit with the community -- no "Punch the Monkey" ads here, if we can help it. And on the topic of ads, your participation (read: clicking on them) does help us out! If you're the type that hates ads and wants to not see them, ever, I urge you to buy a UF membership and for about a dime a day, you get UF ad-free! (If you're the type that doesn't want to see ads much less click on them, are blocking the ads with a filter, and don't see why you should help UF with a membership but insist on consuming what is offered here...well, there's not a lot I can do about it.) And finally, thank you so very much to everyone who has signed up for a membership (Charter or otherwise) thus far. Every membership helps!

 Geekfinder has been freshified for spring. The layout has been changed a bit and the background functions have been overhauled a lot by our partner, dice. Every time you use the Geekfinder Job Search or the Geekfinder QuickSearch you are supporting UF. So maybe you can't afford a UF membership or buy merchandise in the UF Store, you can still keep your Diva and that Illiad guy in KD by doing a Geekfinder Job Search.
