The site is written in mod_perl, a bunch of shell and perl scripts, backed on mySQL I think you can still download the source somewhere on the website too, take a look… If you think you can make it work on a modern version of FreeBSD and front-end code, I can easily fire up a VPS for it. But over the past 20 years there’s been a bunch of false starts just like this :(
