Poll of the Moment: dream jobs... by ShadowSystems2016-12-15 06:56:19
  Spock's Brain by rebill 2016-12-15 12:14:07
Ever since I have seen the episode of the original Star Trek where some alien species hijacked Spock's Brain and plugged it into a super computer, I have always wondered why Spock wasn't willing to remain there.

An extra 1000 years of lifespan.
Access to technology and information FAR beyond what anyone in the Federation had.
No effects of aging (knees, kidneys, back, eyesight, hearing, et cetera).

If they had just left him inside that thing and then offered him the option to join the Federation. Imagine the results. For example, when the Borg appeared a couple hundred years later, the Federation wouldn't have had any problems at all.
