Uh, hi. No, my real name isn't William Ashbless (its from a remarkable book by Tim Powers: The Anubis Gates.) I'll keep my weak and feeble anonymity for now. :)
So the first thing I did was construct my geek code. I barely qualify as geeky if the code has anything to say about it. Not enough specific codes for the programming geek, I think. Although, I'm sadly in need of Linux-izing.
I write computer game software for a living; I write every other kind of software for a whim. I probably know more than a dozen programming languages at various levels of expertise. I've designed and written at least one as a gag, and another as an experiment.
I play and (very rarely) compose music on a few instruments (lately neglected). I like skiing. I keep lightly informed on other sciences. Sci-fi, fantasy, mystery, spy novels amongst my favourites. I used to RPG most weekends, but have been neglecting that side of me for a while. I like solving puzzles. I help out at a programmer's help site. I like teaching/tutoring in my field (informally).
That's it for my first diary draft. :P Its already more than I tell my coworkers. Nyeah.
