As you guys amble up Columbus Avenue towards 75th street, you can't help but notice the comms van that *somebody* is trying to hide (in plain sight).  Two figures sit in the front seats of the van, one busily texting (or something) on what looks to be a flatpanel commlink, the other is casually looking around, as if waiting on a friend.  The van doesn't appear to be running, and it *is* at the front gates of a building, so it's quite possible that maybe they *are* just waiting for a friend.  Maybe one of the techs just stopped in to take a squirt...

Your gathering site is a block west of the middle of the hunting site, if that gives you any idea (without actually glancing at a map) where you are in reference to where the action might suddenly be.  A crackle goes up across all of your comms, and you hear - LOUDLY - "...just a group of townies, looking for some Monday night mindlessness.  Probably wage slaves; they're either heading home or sloping off to a nearby friend's house..." and as you get further away from the van, the chatter from the comms overload subsides rapidly, dropping finally into silence as you get far enough away.  Those guys must be using a cheap, directionless antenna for their transmissions.  Lower grade means lower class...         ...you guess *real* equipment might have been expensive.

"...checking scans for..." you hear, then "Okay, team - it would appear that our pal is skulking somewhere near the park for something - nobody is sure what --- or why the Park..."  Tiny's voice scratches, barely audible.  "...it also looks like someone is running some incredibly complex jamming gear out there - the drones are having a rough time keeping track of everything.  OH!" he adds, "Not all drones are ours, so don't assume anything.  We haven't quite figured out how to identify ours from theirs - so stay tuned while we figure that little detail out."  "...sector two has an inbound bus, but it looks like..." those same voices, chattering in the background.  "If you want to head 'im off at the pass, you might want to take a right at 75th and stroll a little closer to Central Park.  But DON'T get lost, more info is incomin'."  The line goes dead.

The comms van continues to sit ominously behind you, receding in the distance as you guys simultaneously discuss ball scores, scoring good times, and "where the party is at".  An interesting cover, and quite convincing if the local chatter is to be believed.

Shadows cut deep into the blocky alleys, partially dispelled by local downlighting stylishly deployed to enhance the effect with an artistic flair, all the while dispelling the darkness that would make it soooo easy to hide in plain sight.  In the distance, among all the other street noises and the various horns and sirens, you hear a lone wolf howl...
