It's faster than Adobe's PDF reader.

AVG Free

Comodo Professional Firewall
http://www.comodo.com/
Because Windows' firewall has more holes than moldy Swiss cheese.

Windows Installer
[ http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID
=889482FC-5F56-4A38-B838-DE776FD4138C&displaylang=en ]
It's the latest version of the MSI utility.

Xteq
http://www.xteq.com/
If you can't find it to tweak in this, it probably can't BE tweaked.

Windows Registry Repair
http://www.download3000.com/download_17377.html
Because the Reg WILL get crufty, & this can help keep it clean.

-----------

When I make a Nuke & Pave Helper cd, I like to grab the latest drivers for the machine I'll be repairing.
For Example, if I'm going over to fix an HP Pavilion a1132n, I'll grab the latest drivers (Audio, Video, Chipset, etc) for it.
Then I burn everything to the cd & take it with me, fix the machine, & leave the cd for the person who owned the machine.
That way they have something they can use if something goes ka-blooey.

If it's just a N&P cd for myself, I'll burn the latest ATI, Nvidia, & RealTek drivers, plus any extra bits that I might still have room for.

This is a good one, too. by ShadowSystems2009-01-03 17:41:03
I stick to just the MVPS hosts file - catches most by RedIon2009-02-08 21:18:11
