CSP 036: No tangled web that you can see... by LongFist 2017-01-02 06:41:29
The team (that's you three) are at the doors, all looking around, each seeming lost in their own reverie, when Ace mumbles aloud "Hmmmm...  Great.  Big.  Deadly.  Spiders...".  He starts into a roll of his shoulders ostensibly to loosen up.

X (who is standing right there) transmits over the team "push", saying "I recommend looking but not getting involved. There's no money in getting involved, but the information itself may be valuable. I have a sneaking suspicion what this is. Block, you better brace yourself, this won't be pretty."  Almost instantly - as silly as it seems - you realize that X is a real-deal operator: he just communicated efficiently and effectively and most of all SILENTLY to the group.  In a flash of insight, that appears to be the boon of experience.

Not to be out-smoothy-cooled, Block responds on the same frequency "I'm not going to get involved. I just want to get a better look. It's boring out here, and we're not getting paid just standing here!"

At which point Ace, with a quick-flip-draw of his pistol, all but shouts "Last one in buys the beer!" and opens the door.
