      Ace's actions... by ShadowSystems 2016-01-12 09:11:10
Ace nods briskly at X's instructions & quickly pats himself down to make sure all his gear is secure.
The last thing he wants to do is drop something important while airborne, thus forcing Block to make an emergency diversion in the flight path to retrieve it.
Satisfied that all his pockets have their flaps buttoned, the flap on the holster is securely shut, & that his fly is zipped, he smiles inwardly that he's as ready as he'll ever be.

Trying not to tense up like a terrified Terrier when Block lifts him into the sky, Ace uses both his own senses plus all the sensors at his disposal to scan everywhere he can, feeding it all into his internal ComLink for later retrieval.
His Decoy ComLink's sensors (audio & visual), his Real ComLink via Contact Lenses & EarBuds, & his own brain (for what it's worth).
He tries his best not to miss anything in the first place.
((Perception: 5, 3, 6, 3, 4, 2, 1, 1, 6.
Real ComLink, Rating 3: 3, 2, 1.
Decoy ComLink, Rating 1: 6.))

At Block's broadcast about the ficticious trideo crew Ace blinks a few times in confusion, "gets it", and starts to grin at the simple beauty of the ruse.
Sending back over the same link & a "Reply To All" distribution, Ace replies heartily like a lackey whom has had his butt gnawed on one too many times.
"Two. Three. Rodger that! Let's make sure the spot they wanted is clear enough for them to use it. I'd rather not have to listen to them b5ing about how they had to haul a ton of trideo kit up to some roof, only to find out that they can't USE it & have to hump hoop back down with it again. Those Gear Guys are a whiney buncha pansies sometimes, y'know?"

Ending with a chuckle he clicks off the ComLink & goes back to scanning the ground, the buildings, the facing windows, & as much of the sky as he can.
When X tells us to look sharp because of Reggie, Ace sends back over the encrypted "Group To All" channel on his internal: "One. Three. Rodger. Out."

With that Ace turns his own perceptions up to max, using his own senses plus all the sensors at his disposal, recording the feeds to his internal ComLink for later if needed.
((From now on this will be Ace's usual method; recording everything when he scans/searches, just to be able to retrieve the footage for later review if needed. The better to stop repeating myselves.))
Now that he knows Reggie is a very real & immediate threat (rather than just one due to arrive soon), Ace concentrates most of his scans downward to try & find the Hunter as well.
He's still scanning for others like Garcia, Gangers, Ghouls, etc, he's still scanning the windows & sky, but now it's 75% down & for Reggie.
Since Reggie is the primary target & what will earn the most pay should this go right, Reggie gets the bulk of Ace's desire to get found.
Garcia will also earn a few NuYen if we manage to find her, but Ace would rather not piss off his Mister Johnson (X in this case) if he can help it.
Muttering softly to himself in a sing song "Let's find Reg-gie... Let's find Reg-gie... Let's find Reg-gie..." so TOTALLY not to the tune of "Let's go swimming" from the movie "Finding Nemo", Ace scans like a hungry hawk.
((Perceptions: 4, 4, 2, 1, 2, 5, 5, 6, 3.
Real ComLink: 6, 4, 2.
Decoy ComLink: 1.))

With pointing finger & various grunty noises like a flatulent seagull, Ace pretends to direct Block around as if hunting for something, but always heading in the direction that Block wanted to go in the first place.
When the tower roof comes into view & is now clearly visible even to a myopic sky squirrel, Ace points enthusiasticly at it & hoots "There it is! I knew I left it here somewhere!"
Hoping that Block doesn't decide to drop his butt like a fresh load of guano on a shiny new statue, Ace prepares to land as Block gets even closer...
