Because of that weird hair-on-end thing, Block tries to sense astrally if there is something nearby:
Assensing (pool 3): 5,4,3
Perception (pool 3): 2,1,6
In response to Ace's comment, Block whispers, "Er, what things? Uhm, Yeah, I think I can airlift us both at the same time."
[Following the example in the book, split casting Force 1 Levitate on each of us, divvying up the 9 dice in the pool:
Ace (5 dice of the pool): 3,5,1,6,4. Drain Value 2, Resist: 2,1,1,3,2,6,4,6,4
Block (4 dice of the pool): 1,2,6,5. Drain Value 2, Resist: 2,5,6,1,4,1,6,4,4]
Verify that he can lift both himself and Ace, before signaling to Ace that he can drop the commlink. After Ace drops his commlink, fly back (away from the building edge, so that we are not visible from the street), then deposit Ace on a building roof that can see the street (if he moves), and Block on a building roof that can see Ace.
Then block pulls out his gun.
