Hunkered down on on the right-hand-side of the gallery doorway, Block tends to Ace's arm. (Dice clatter in the far distance, barely within hearing.) It doesn't look too bad; should be able to get it stabilized in just a few turns. IF Ace cooperates and stps waving his pistol around with his other hand, that is. (Block is concentrated on Ace's wound; Ace is concentrated on keeping X's back clear - it can be confusing...)
Lady S, meanwhile, keeps her weapons trained on the spider-queen-lady-thing, who is doing her/its part by trying tow wriggle her/its way free of the gurney to which it has been fastened. (Which is a curious enough situation, anyway. But who understands bugs?) And X is already in motion, his blade arching gracefully above his head and elegantly down towards the spider-queen-lady-thing. The room continues to cycle with a cool, dry bluster as winds (from seemingly nowhere) whip around the room, stirring the dust into clouds and making visibility a but challenging in some palces within the gallery.
X completes his first cut skillfully, almost delicately as his sword passes neatly through the upper-left shoulder and slides down to the distended abdomen on the right, then it's smoothly free of the whole mess. Predictably, her upper section bleeds blood, but unpredictably the lower section spews ichor, grayish-green in color and with what looks to be the consistency of mayonnaise. And the smell - it's reminiscent of a landfill!
The spider-queen-lady-thing turns her head defiantly, and spits in X's general direction. (Once again dice clatter from somewhere far, far away...) X barely manages to dodge the spittle once he realizes that it is an attack, and it falls harmlessly to his right. The concrete smokes at the very spot the spittle landed. Good dodging, X...
